Buying a Boat:

Next to a home purchase buying a boat is in most cases one of the largest investments you'll ever make.
That is why when you choose to either buy or sell a boat, it is extremely important that you deal with someone who knows the business inside and out, through actual experience. The second most important part of selecting a Broker is their track Record. This applies to the Broker himself and the Companies he represents. Basically good Brokers only work with top notch companies and vice versa.

With this is mind, one of the most educated choices you can make to represent you is Brendan Burke, a Boat Broker for Gilman Yachts of North Palm Beach Florida.

About Brendan Burke:

Brendan Burke has been in the marine industry for 35 years. He grew up on the south shore of Long Island N.Y. In 1972, his passion for boats and fishing brought him to Islamorada in the Florida Keys, where for 8 years, he worked with legendary Captains.

In 1980 he began captaining boats fishing from Cape Breton Nova Scotia to Victoria Brazil and all the hot spots in between.

In 1990 Brendan became one of the pioneers of Costa Rican Bill Fishing. In 1991, Brendan set a world record catching 1414 billfish in 232 days.

In 1993 Power and Motor Yacht Magazine named Brendan one of the top 15 captains in the World.

Brendan specializes in Yacht sales including Custom Boat builds and complete or partial refits.

He looks forward to helping his clients find that special Sportfish or Motoryacht.
